While bottlefeeding is probably the easiest form of feeding a baby from the parent’s perspective, it isn’t always the easiest for the baby. For starters, breastfeeding is always best for babies. Second, there are certain challenges to bottlefeeding that a baby will encounter. Usually, teats provide more milk than a baby can comfortably swallow, especially when they’re very young and are not used to swallowing or controlling their tongues yet. If in the process of weaning, bottlefeeding poses different challenges, such as the change in flavor and texture of the milk, as well as the change in the overall feel of the feeding process. It is quite easy to help a baby overcome these challenges, though.
