Young Drivers Insurance Too High

I know it takes kids a while to learn the intricacies of driving.  When I was in that position, I remember that it took me several months and maybe even a year before I truly felt comfortable on the road.  However, I do think the price of young drivers insurance is ridiculously high.  In today’s economy, is it realistic to expect teens and people in their early twenties to be able to foot such an inflated bill?  What ultimately happens as a result is that people choose to go without coverage, making prices go up for everyone and putting people in peril.
